Reproduce the organ with a chip

The nanotechnology chip developed by American scientists can reproduce all types of cells, even helping to replace organs.

A small device can revolutionize the field of regenerative medicine. In the field of Nature Nanotechnology, scientists from Ohio University announced the invention of a special chip that regenerates all types of cells, even the organ.

According to the Independent, coin-sized chips are used by placing on the skin, lightly pressing and transmitting electricity. Thanks to nanotechnology, the chip "inject" genetic code into skin cells to reprogram, turning them into other cells in less than a second.

The team said the chip test results were very positive. Specifically, when placed on the injured foot mouse, the chip transfers skin cells into the blood vessels, increasing blood flow. Two weeks passed, the injured leg of the mouse healed.

In particular, scientists have successfully developed neurons from skin cells. By receiving new neurons, stroke mice restore brain function within a few weeks. This result is extremely significant for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's patients.

"It's hard to imagine, but this is true with a 98% success rate , " said Dr Chandan Sen of the research team. He asserted that by using nanotechnology , humans could turn skin cells into all kinds of cells and eventually replace organs. In addition, the process does not invade and use the patient's own cells should not go anti-rejection drug.

It is expected that the reconstituted chip will be tested in humans by 2019.
