Rice harvester won a 100 million VND patent
With outstanding features, the rice harvester of Mr. Pham Hoang Thang (Can Tho) received the first prize in the 2013 patent contest, awarded in HCM City on November 9.
This is a combined , easy-to-use harvester , able to cut inclined rice fields, less subsidence, the rate of damaged grain after lower harvest and clean grain. The machine has a simple usage, cost less than half compared to other machines with similar capacity imported from abroad.
Machine is the result of Mr. Thang after 4 years of diligently researching with great investment. Starting from the concern that the rural labor force is getting increasingly scarce, in the season, the rice is often ripe, not reaping, so the loss of rice quality is not guaranteed, Mr. Thang conceives the idea of making a product. Products help farmers to replace labor, reduce loss costs, improve productivity.
"The difficult thing is that each time you edit and upgrade, you have to wait until the harvest season to test, so making the machine for a long time," Thang said. He is also the author of many useful and practical inventions for farmers.

According to the organizers, with the country that the labor structure in the agricultural, forestry and fishery sectors accounts for the highest proportion today (47.5% according to the statistical results in 2012), the inventions and solutions Techniques for this sector are essential to contribute to saving labor, improving productivity.
Second prize of the competition belongs to Ba Ria Vung Tau Urban Sewerage and Drainage Company Limited with the solution of 'Waste water treatment system for domestic waste in Vietnam' . Third prize for the solution of "Motorcycle neck bearings - Upsidedown ' by Nguyen Vinh Son.
The program also awarded the environmental patent for the group of authors to the Institute of Tropical Biology with the solution 'Take advantage of the waste water after distillation to produce biological preparations for livestock'. In addition, 15 outstanding patent solutions, reached the final round on a total of 146 solutions to participate in the fields of agriculture, industry, health, environment, food, construction . were also rewarded. 5 million.
