These robots can dance, play and play games produced by the French company Aldebaran for about £ 15,000. They are being tested at Topcleffe Elementary School in Castle Vale, Birmingham from March 2012. About a quarter of the children in this school are autistic and are supported by a variety of techniques in differentiated classes.
The use of these robots to teach autistic children is very effective because they have no emotion, so I do not feel scared, "said Ian Lowe, principal of Topcliffe Elementary School. To teach children, users can install language tuition, play games and model behavior.
