Roll container

In developing countries, many areas do not have clean tap water, but it is very difficult to collect water. Especially if it puts a heavy burden on women's shoulders.

Therefore, the Wello public utility corporation, which was present in India in September 2011, has been striving to improve the efficiency of water transportation and storage. They invented a high-quality plastic bucket that can be easily rolled on the ground, called the WaterWheel .

After filling the water tank, tighten the lid on the WaterWheel and then, a woman with soft limbs can be easily pushed away. This roller barrel has been widely used in Africa.

WaterWheel is 470mm in height, 460mm in diameter, holds 50 liters of water. Gizmag magazine quoted Wello as saying that it was not only a labor reduction but also an effective way to get clean water to prevent bowel disease. With WaterWheel, women can go further than usual to get cleaner water. In difficult places, women spend 25% of their time in the water to carry the old style.

The Wello team spent 15 months researching the site and interviewing more than 1,500 community members in the western Indian villages. The survey, design will be delivered to local businesses in Admedabad to produce products at low cost.
