Royal tombs more than 3,000 years were found in Egypt

The ornate tomb of a royal scribe who lived more than 3,000 years ago was found in Luxor, Egypt.

The excavation team led by Professor Jiro Kondo, who works at Waseda University in Japan, discovered the tomb of over 3,000 years old in Luxor, Egypt, and Express on 3 February.

It is said to be the grave of Khonsu , an Egyptian royal scribe, living in the Ramesside period, about 1,200 years BC. The tomb is ornate with images of gods, people and baboons.

"On the north wall there is an image of a god standing on a boat with four baboons bowing. This could be Atum or the Sun God , " Professor Kondo answered.

Baboons are worshiped animals in ancient Egypt, often related to intellect and science. The fact that they were carved in a prominent position in the grave shows that Khonsu takes this animal very seriously.

In addition, the team also found Khonsu and his wife worshiping two ancient Egyptian gods, Osiris and Isis, on another wall of the tomb.
