Russia is about to open a super-$ 450 million hotel in space

Space agency Russia wants to build a super hotel weighing 20 tons, 15.5 m long and has 4 resorts in space worth in 2020.

According to the Daily Star, the hotel will also have a medical station, sanitation, a lounge area and fitness equipment. It is estimated that the cost of super-large construction in Russia's space falls from $ 280 million to $ 450 million.

If the Russian project is successful, only 4 years from now, the super hotel in space will be able to welcome guests.

In particular, visitors are promised to be able to use wifi on the hotel. However, those who dream of traveling in space are expected to spend at least $ 40 million for a vacation lasting about 1-2 weeks.

This fee includes a prepayment of USD 4 million, a payment of USD 12.6 million 2 years before the flight and a final payment of USD 10.8 million is required to be paid immediately before the flight.

For a month-long trip including walking in space, customers will pay an additional $ 20 million.

However, Russian space agency Roscosmos is facing huge logistical problems with this hotel project. Although there are already designs, many people are concerned that Russian engineers will not be able to complete construction. In addition, NASA is expected to "shut down" by 2028.

According to Russia's leading space contractor, RKK Energia, even if the Russian space hotel arrived at ISS as early as 2022, it would take 7 years to cover construction costs. This means that the hotel will not have enough time to make a profit.
