Russia launches Soyuz-FG rocket carrier with 5 satellites
According to Russian space agency Roscosmos, the country has launched the Soyuz-FG, a missile carrier with five satellites on Sunday.
According to recorded videos of Roscosmos, the Soyuz-FG rocket took off at 10:41 at Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan.
According to Roscosmos, in this journey the Russian missile ship carries the Canopus-B remote sensing satellite and MKA-PN1 research satellite, remote satellite satellites BKA of Belarus, ADS communications satellites. -1B of Canada and German mini satellite named TET-1.
The Fregat rocket was separated from Soyuz-FG about 10 minutes after the launch and the BKA satellite of Belarus was the first satellite to be separated from the rocket.
The launch of these five satellites is expected to take place in the first half of 2012, but has been delayed several times due to a dispute between Kazakhstan and Russia over the first landing zone of the missile.
The aircraft carrier Soyuz-FG is an improved version of the Russian Soyuz-U rocket carrier. Since the first flight was carried out in May 2001, 23 flights have been made so far without any failure.
