Russia tested the world's most powerful vacuum bomb success

Russia has successfully tested the world's most powerful vacuum bomb, the military said on September 11, calling it "the father of all kinds of bombs" . This bomb created a kind of destructive shock wave, with the power equivalent to a nuclear explosion.

"This type of bomb is being tested at a military base and there are no competitors in the world. The test results of this aerial weapon have shown that its effectiveness and power are equivalent to that of a nuclear weapon ' , said Alexander Rukshin, deputy general staff of the Russian armed forces.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, this new military invention does not violate any international treaties and Russia is not creating a new arms race.

Vacuum bombs often explode in two stages. Initially, a small explosion dispersed the main explosives into a cloud. This cloud then exploded on its own. The explosion created a kind of pressure wave that went much farther than conventional explosives. And yet, due to the explosion consuming gases in the air, it created a vacuum, causing serious damage and casualties.

' ' The main destructive power is caused by an ultrasonic shock wave and extremely high temperature. All living things will evaporate. However, I also want to emphasize that this weapon does not pollute the environment like nuclear weapons, " Mr. Rukshin said.

"This kind of bomb will allow us to protect national security and international terrorism in all cases and everywhere in the world," he added.

The TV channel Vesti has released a video footage of the Tupolve Tu-160 strategic bomber dropping the bomb on a test site. Next was a big explosion. The station reported that the new bomb was four times stronger than the US MOAB bomb, equivalent to 44 tons of TNT, and the temperature at the center of the explosion was twice higher. MOAB is called the "mother of all kinds of bombs" .

In 1999, Russian generals threatened to use vacuum bombs to destroy insurgents in the mountains in a campaign against terrorism in Chechnya. The US has also used a type of bomb that operates on similar principles in its campaign against al-Qaeda and the Taliban in mountainous areas of East Afghanistan. The mother of all bombs is satellite-oriented, using oxygen in the air and was previously considered the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in history.

The development of this new weapon seems to be another Russian reaction to US plans to build a missile defense system in Eastern Europe. President Putin condemned the plan, saying it imbalanced strategy in Europe and vowed to respond.
