Much of the ship is believed to have caught fire during a high-altitude slowdown , but small pieces of the vehicle may still " survive " and fall into the ocean. Roscosmos identifies only some of the fragments of this structure that fall to the surface of our planet , similar to what happened to the freight missions of Progress.
Earlier, based on observational data from Space-Track.org, Progress M-27M is expected to advance to Earth's atmosphere around 9:00 GMT (Hanoi time 16:00),
The Progress ship carried more than three tons of cargo including food, fuel and supplies for astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS), which was launched from Baikonur Space Center in Kazakhstan on April 28. Before completing the mission, it lost contact with the control center.
