SanDisk launches two new security memory card models

SanDisk on June 4 launched two new USB flash memory cards designed for data security and speed up data access.

Two USB Cruzer Professional products and Cruzer Enterprise are available to individuals and businesses who want to secure data while still being able to share easily with other colleagues or users.

Cruzer Professional card templates are equipped with a password-protected "Privacy Zone", which is used to encrypt any space of the memory card. For example, users can encrypt about 50% of the memory card capacity using Privacy Zone. Data in this area will be protected and not accessible if not the cardholder, and another 50% can be accessed by any user.

Both Cruzer Enterprise and Cruzer Professional use password protection and data security through 256-bit hardware platform encryption. Hardware encryption is more reliable than software encryption because software encryption is often based on computer use - can be attacked by spyware or other security threats.

Both new models have 24Mbps data read speed and 20MB / s write speed. This speed will help reduce waiting times especially when moving large files, such as presentations or videos. Both new SanDisk flash cards are compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2003.

Cruzer Professional comes in three versions: 1GB, 2GB and 4GB with prices of $ 54.99, $ 94.99 and $ 144.99 respectively. Cruzer Enterprise's price is: USD 74.99 (1GB), USD 124.99 (2GB), and USD 184.99 (4GB). The product will be available in Europe in July.
