Schoolgirl has a 90 degree scoliosis
Ellen Wagstaff, a 12-year-old girl, suffers from a rare disease that causes her spine to bend at a 90 degree angle.

Ellen Wagstaff found back pain around April 2010. Later, she was taken to the hospital for examination and diagnosed with spontaneous scoliosis. At that time, Ellen's scoliosis was 65 degrees. Currently, her spine has been twisted at a 90 degree angle.

On March 14, Ellen will be operated on at Children's Hospital Manchester. During the upcoming surgery, the doctor will use metal bars to brace and fix Ellen's spine.
