Scientists claim alcohol causes cancer
The Australian Cancer Society yesterday warned that drinking alcohol at any dose could lead to cancer.
Although alcohol has long been a popular, familiar drink of humankind, few works have so far confirmed it directly as the cause of this deadly disease.

Recently, however, the Australian Cancer Society claims alcohol and ethanol are carcinogenic agents for humans, and there is no evidence that there is a safe consumption threshold to avoid disease. The report also confirms that scientists have convincing evidence that alcohol is the cause of oral, pharyngeal, larynx, esophageal, intestinal cancer (in men) and breasts (in women) .
According to Xinhua , it also increases the risk of bowel cancer in women and liver cancer.
" This is also an important cause of illness, injury and deaths, whether it is sudden or long-term ingestion ," the association's spokesman said.
The best way to reduce the risk of cancer is to limit the amount of drinking and or avoid alcohol, the researchers stressed.
