Close the barcode on sperm and egg cells
Barcodes and QR codes have become very popular and are played on most products today. A way to manage and help buyers check product information . Not only that, some scientists also want to close the bar code on both human sperm and egg cells.
Scientists at Autonomous Barcelona University have tested a micro bar code closing device , which can be used on the size of cells. These symbols are made of polysilicon and use binary code with 8 characters to mark on sperm and egg cells.
You may soon slap the Barcode on your sperm or egg
It uses a protein bridge that can be attached to egg cells. By the time the egg cell is fertilized and becomes a fetus, the bar codes will automatically separate.
The purpose of this project is to help hospitals better manage artificial insemination . From the bar code can know the information of the donor of these cells. It can also be used to check the quality of cells.
After attaching the bar code, the doctor can check again through a microscope that can record the image. This binary code will then be read and analyzed by a basic barcode reader.
Currently this project has not been tested on humans. Scientists believe that this technology can be applied immediately in breeding animals . Like horse racing, the breed factor is very important.
