See the scene of Boeing 757 aircraft 'showdown' horizontal landing when there is a storm
Horizontal landing technique is an extremely difficult aircraft control technique, to limit the situation of aircraft being slipped off the runway when encountering heavy rain and high winds.
Captain Brenda Riepsaame Wassink of TUI Airways recently had a drive for the Boeing 757 to land horizontally on the runway in Bristol, UK.
Controlling the plane in the horizontal direction is a difficult technique but it is very effective to minimize wind resistance so that the aircraft is easily dislocated from the runway.
When the pilot landed, the Boeing 757-200 was slightly bent to the left and tilted the fuselage to the right. This way is like a car when entering a curve.
However, it is clear that pilots need to carefully calculate the distance when approaching the runway and rotation angle of the aircraft.
