Self-biodegradable polymer materials

Researchers from the Vietnam Institute of Industrial Chemistry have successfully manufactured a biodegradable polymer material.

This product is based on a combination of low density polyethylene resin and some starches and chemicals that make up biodegradable polymer materials (also called biodegradable polymer materials), which is the Institute of Public Chemistry Successful manufacturing and application industries.

A new feature of the product is that it can completely replace products made from ordinary thermoplastic. After use, the product will decompose into powder without causing environmental pollution, while stimulating plant growth, increasing nutrient content and porosity of the soil.

The product consists of three types: Agricultural coating, packaging covering pots and bags for consumer needs.

According to Assoc. Mai Ngoc Chuc, Director of the Institute of Industrial Chemistry, the technology of producing biodegradable polymer materials will be transferred to all factories, household companies processing plastic all over the country and put into mass application. on an industrial scale.
