Historically, commercial sliced breads were automatically produced for the first time on July 6, 1928 at Chillicothe, Missouri. And the "father" of this machine is Otto Rohwedder - a jeweler in Iowa.

It is known that a fire in 1917 destroyed the prototype as well as the design that made him face many pressures and doubts.

However, in the end, Otto Rohwedder also succeeded.

In 1928, Otto Rohwedder, after so many days struggling with machines and drawings, finally succeeded in building a bread cutter and became a "hot hit " throughout the United States.

In 1930, the machine was found mostly in this national town. At that time, people turned to the trend of using ready-to-buy bread instead of making homemade cakes at home like the previous decades.

By 1960, sliced bread and loaves of bread became more popular in supermarkets.
