Gradually, Tikal's allied cities also gradually sided with the king's kingdom. The patience and outstanding political vision of the solid kings helped entice the cities of Maya at that time, forming a giant grip that aimed to "squeeze" their opponents.

However, unfortunately the first snake king died before completing the ambition to expand the kingdom, building a powerful empire. After that, the young snake king succeeded his father.

According to the inscriptions on the verdict at Caracol, the young king is said to have ended the reign of Tikal on April 29, 6262. At that time, maybe the city of Holmul moved west.

Thus, the Holmul nearly destroyed the mural found by Estrada-Belli archaeologist after more than 1,400 years. This is said to be a sign of loyalty to the new king, the reign of the snake king in Tikal began.

"Dream" mighty Snake kingdom

For the next 30 years, Maya's history was a bit fuzzy. Thanks to Mexican archaeologists Enrique Nalda and Sandra Balanzario, we know today that the young snake king has died just 10 years after completing the career of the mighty Maya empire.

When he lost the king at the age of 30.

Accordingly, in 2004, two archaeologists discovered many tombs in a pyramid in Dzibanché.

They were surprised to find a bone needle used for blood rituals, interspersed with jade masks, pearls, and rhinestones on the thick undergrowth.

The writings are written along one side of the needle, saying: "This is the blood given to this snake king".

Of the eight solid kings who once ruled at Tikal (the interrupt phase of this city in history), this young king was one of two people whose remains were found to this day.

After that, the kingdom of the solid kings moved the capital west, where the city of Palenque was located. It has many pyramids and garrisons at the foot of the mountains leading to Mexco Bay and the highlands.

Palenque is home to plenty of water thanks to the abundance of rivers and waterfalls, even here there can be a toilet using water.

Although Palenque is not a large city, with a population of only about 10,000 people, it is a symbol of Maya civilization and a gateway to trade and trade with the West.

In those years, the Maya Empire was ruled by a new snake king. The monarch also conducted many political policies to increase and strengthen power, by enticing and delegating his allies.

Conflict and power struggle, the power of a snake king is inevitable. And the attack on Palenque is part of a larger plan. Meanwhile, the aspiring snake kings want to create their own empire.

The idea of building a powerful king's empire was controversial among archaeologists. However, it is not difficult to recognize the model of the kingdom of the snake king.

They allied with the largest cities in the east, conquered those in the south and traded and traded with many people in the north. Perhaps so is the described Palenque citadel that is a corner of the Maya world to the west.

Appearing of the "King" Snake King

However, in 635, the snake kings built a building and claimed to be the owner of that city. A year later, the greatest Maya king appeared and took the throne. The "excellent" king in Maya history was named Yuknoon Cheen II.

As an outstanding king, Yuknoon Cheen II used talented diplomatic talents to increase the wing of the alliance, opposing bribery, while also continuing to strengthen the position in the lowlands of the Mayans.

This is probably the water treatment unlike any Maya before and after.

Thanks to outstanding talent, Yuknoon Cheen II has mastered its kingship for 50 years. It is thought that the best way to learn about an empire is to look at their "alliance" city.

Interestingly, in this dynasty, there was a small city that best represented the rule of the snake king, that was Saknikte .

The image of a relief in La Corona, Guatemala, once belonged to the ancient city of Saknikte.Hieroglyphs on reliefs reveal its date of 11/2/635.

Archaeologists have discovered this place at least twice. Surprisingly, on the monument there are still many images of smiling snakes, some texts, . Experts have put the place here as "Q Ru".

Since then, "Q Ru" has become a dream of discovery for archaeologists like Marcello Canuto. On a hot afternoon in April 2005, Canuto archaeologist, along with researchers, mapped a place called "La Corona" in the forest of Petén.

Canuto then went to a trench that the antiquity thieves had previously cut when they entered the pyramid. But suddenly he saw a hole the size of a wallet, carved on a wall.

Canuto archaeologist shared: "I can see scribbles on the stone. Unexpected! I have seen what I dreamed of for a long time.

After staring again, I realized that what I discovered was more than scribbles, it was a line of letters.

Under the layers of dirt and vegetation that cling around, are the most refined carved words I've ever seen here. Shortly thereafter, we knew that this was a Q site. "

"Supreme warrior - King of kings"

The small city of Saknikte seems to have a special place in the Mayan kingdom.

The princes of this city went to Calakmal to study, and the three of them married the princess of the snake king. Unlike the "war" city Waka in the south, Saknikte does not fight many battles.

Small pottery statues depict a mythical ritual in the afterlife in a royal tomb, dating back to about 656. In the picture is the statue of King Yuknoom Cheen II (left) and his daughter ( the right).

According to some information found by Canuto's archaeological team, the solid king Yuknoom Cheen II went to Saknikte before Maya's capital was transferred to Calakmul.

The paintings show the scene of King Yuknoom Cheen II sitting relaxed, glancing at the Saknikte king.

Saknikte is not the only place this snake king is building. The name of King Yuknoon Cheen II constantly appears in the Mayan Empire.

He is married to the daughter of the king of Waka, who later becomes a brave and powerful warrior queen.

Yuknoon also set up a new trade route in the west for its kingdom and linked different allies. Through the research process, scientists have noticed an oddity of these vassal cities.

Specifically, it seems that some of these allied cities do not have their own symbols and their kings did not use nicknames when they fell under the control of the Snake King.

Meanwhile, the solid kings of Calakmul city took a "scary" nickname: the Supreme Warrior - King of Kings.

Tomás Barrientos, a Guatemalan archaeologist, said: "I think they changed the political way. I personally consider it a breakthrough in Maya history."
