Currently, Vietnam has more than 600 enterprises operating in software outsourcing with about 15,000 engineers and technicians

In 2004, the total value of Vietnamese outsourcing software was US $ 170 million, of which US $ 45 million was exported.

According to the Asian Computing Industry Association - Oceania (ASOCIO), Vietnam is one of 25 attractive countries in the field of software outsourcing in the world.

In markets such as the US, Hungary, and especially Japan, the prestige of Vietnamese software enterprises is increasingly improved, behind only Chinese, Indian and Korean businesses.

Currently, about 80% -90% of revenue of many Vietnamese software enterprises is mainly due to export.

Currently, Vietnam has more than 600 enterprises operating in software outsourcing with about 15,000 engineers and technicians. Many Vietnamese enterprises have been granted international certificates for CMM software development, especially two businesses, FPT and PSV, have achieved the highest CMM certificate - CMM 5.

In addition, Vietnam has also built Quang Trung Software Park - the first software production center in the country - in Ho Chi Minh City.

Since its official operation in March 2001, Quang Trung Software Park has so far attracted 69 units to invest, including many foreign investment units.

Along with expanding the relationship to find customers, in recent years, software enterprises have always focused on developing and improving the quality of human resources. There have been hundreds of software engineers appointed to study in Japan under the AOTS scholarship program of Japan and other software quality management training programs.

This year alone, 100 software engineers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City were sent to participate in software outsourcing training courses taught by Japanese software experts.
