Strange eye rat 'retired'
Those who nurture and care for Heidi - the famous stingy rat in Germany decided to give her "retirement" at the age of sunset (3 and a half years) to avoid the stress of a star's life.
The mouse-eyed Heidi is currently being raised at Leipzig Zoo, eastern Germany. This particular female mouse was abandoned with her sister Naira in North Carolina, USA.
Heidi squat is now in the late age (3 and a half years old) and is expected to live up to 5 years old.
Experts believe that Heidi is squinting due to obesity before it is abandoned. Heidi has become a "star" when photos and videos of "her" are feverish on YouTube.
Heidi then set up her own website and attracted hundreds of thousands of fans on Facebook."Girl" is becoming more and more popular after correctly guessing the beauty Natalie Portman in the film Black Swan won the 2011 Oscar for Best Actress in February.
Heidi's nurturers said that the blind eye needs to withdraw from public life in order to enjoy the rest of life in peace and quiet."Heidi's mice can only live for at most 3 years in the wild. However, in ideal captivity, Heidi (now 3 and a half years old) can live up to 5 years," said an employee. Leipzig zoo explained in The Mirror.
Heidi still has to separate from her boyfriend Teddy - a male mouse chosen to breed with the "girl" at the zoo to prevent the rat being disturbed.
"We do not want to create any extra stress for Heidi. Due to the advanced age, her chances of having a baby were very fragile and now the opportunity has passed," said Leipzig zoo representative. reveal more.
