Strange syndrome, the girl almost died of sanitary pads

Having a rare tainted shock syndrome after using tampon tampons for 2 hours, Jodie Craig spent 4 years bravely fighting to recover life.

Four years ago, 16-year-old British girl Jodie Craig suddenly had a terrible heart attack, who weakened and vomited violently after using a sanitary pad. Jodie's body temperature increased too high and was quickly taken to the hospital.

Initially the doctors did not know what to do before her condition and advised the family to say goodbye. Finally, a doctor discovered that Jodie used sanitary napkins and realized that the disease she encountered was a rare and life-threatening toxic shock syndrome.

"I used 17 different antibiotics a day and my body was extremely weak. I couldn't believe that all that happened from sanitary pads. I used a sanitary pad that day at about 15:00. and at 17:00 it began to happen , " Jodie recalled. Girls are taken care of with special regimes and must follow up constantly.

Later on, Jodie suffered a lot of changes, her beautiful hair fell to 60%. She also had to fight pneumonia caused by weakened immune systems.

When she returned to school, though she sometimes seemed to collapse due to fatigue, she still tried her best to complete her studies. This time, she discovered love for Irish folk dances. Four years since the nightmare almost died, the girl came back on her feet partly thanks to her love of the art.

Toxic shock syndrome originates from staphylococcus aureus and streptococcus pyogenes. These bacteria usually live harmlessly on the skin, nose or mouth but when they enter the blood, they quickly release toxic toxins. Disease signs include high fever, fainting, red rash, vomiting .

Anyone can have this syndrome. A significant number of cases are in menstrual women and use of tampon tampons (deep into the vagina), especially the tampon type with "super-absorbent " properties. Syndrome can also occur after insect bites, infected wounds . If detected and treated early with antibiotics, patients have a good chance of recovery. Without treatment, the combination of shock and organ destruction can lead to death.
