A 5-year-old girl in China has lost her nose by "eating" bacteria due to a strange disease since she was 8 months old.

In September 2006, baby Song Hua suddenly had a high fever. After the fever subsided, her nose began to turn red, then turned black and eventually destroyed completely.

' Our family took her to all hospitals in Beijing for treatment. The doctors identified Hua as being infected with Pseudomonas aeruginosa ', said Ms. Zhen Kunquan, her mother Song Hua.

If left untreated, this bacterium can destroy, rotting Song Hua's eyes and mouth. And she will die.

' Our family does not have enough money to treat girls. We do not know what to do but to bring Hua back home and hope the good will come , 'said Ms. Zhen Kunquan.

Fortunately, Song Hua's illness seems to be stable. Now, she has escaped the death scythe. However, in kindergarten, Song Hua was stigmatized and estranged by his friends and often bullied.

Song Hua's parents are hoping that their daughter will be helped by benefactors to get a new nose surgery with a total cost of about $ 10,000.
