Kenneth Hiscock seems to have a male genital when he was born in mid-February 2010 and even doctors who give birth also confirm he is a boy. Her parents - Madeleshia, 29 and her husband Kenneth, 30 - have proudly informed their families and friends that they had their first son.

Earlier, Madeleshia and her first daughter - Zadeleshia, 3, bought a lot of blue newborn clothes and boy toys for their second child. However, shortly after birth, the young couple felt something was wrong with the child.

Madeleshia and her husband took their reddish child back to a hospital near their own home in Vereeniging, South Africa. After many tests, the doctors finally confirmed that Kenneth was a girl.

According to the Daily Mail , Kenneth was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called " congenital adrenal hyperplasia " (CAH) - a type of enzyme deficiency that produces abnormal male hormones. Strange disease causes the baby's genitals to swell and initially look like a boy's penis.

Madeleshia said: " We were really shocked. I did not know what to say. It did not seem real . When I went for the first ultrasound (during pregnancy), they thought Kenny was a girl but then At the second ultrasound, the technician said it was a son, I felt like the gender of the pregnant child changed every minute, but never waited. Even after giving birth, the doctors announced that Kenny was a son.

We bought blue clothes and toys for boys several weeks ago. Baby Zadeleshia - our first child is a girl so we are really happy to have more boys and prepare everything ready. Currently, we have to tell people that our gender is wrong and buy other clothes and toys for girls. At first, I couldn't stand it . "

Madeleshia and her husband have renamed Kenny into McKenzi and are making every effort to make her a normal life as possible.

Doctors say 1 in 15,000 people have CAH . The disease is currently incurable but can be treated with daily cortisol pills.
