From today, strong cold air will flow down to the North, pulling the lowest temperature in the plains down to 15 degrees Celsius, and in the mountains below 10 degrees Celsius.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that cold air will spread to the Northeast from today, and one day later to the Northern Delta and Northwest, where the weather will turn cold. The lowest temperature is commonly 15-18 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 12-14 degrees Celsius, and in high mountainous areas below 10 degrees Celsius. Northeast winds inland are strong at level 3-4, and coastal areas at level 4-5.

The American website Accuweather predicts that on Saturday, Hanoi's temperature will drop 7 degrees compared to December 5, to 16-20 degrees Celsius. High points over 1,500 meters above sea level such as Sa Pa (Lao Cai) will be extremely cold, with an average daily temperature below 13 degrees Celsius from Saturday to Tuesday next week. The coldest will be on Sunday , at night 10-12 degrees Celsius.

The cold air is so strong that it will spread to the South Central region, in which the North Central region will be most affected, with thunderstorms, common temperatures of 15-18, mountainous areas 12-14 degrees Celsius. The Central Central region will also have thunderstorms, with higher temperatures, such as Da Nang on Sunday, 22-25 degrees Celsius.

From today, the wind in the Gulf of Tonkin will change to northeast level 4-5, then increase to level 6, waves 1.5-3 m high. The sea area of ​​Quang Tri - Quang Ngai will have strong wind level 6, rough sea, waves 2-4 m high from Saturday.

The meteorological agency warned that thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind could affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure. Strong winds and large waves at sea could affect ships and other activities.

In November, there were 4 cold spells, of which on November 26-28, the temperature in many places dropped as low as 7 degrees Celsius in Mau Son (Lang Son), 9 degrees Celsius in Sa Pa (Lao Cai), and 9 degrees Celsius in Dong Van (Ha Giang). In December, cold spells will increase in frequency and intensity, and severe cold spells are likely to appear in the second half of the month.
