In October 2011, Mr. Minh went to Hung Yen to visit and study experiences and buy four mature red pheasant (three roofs, one drum) to raise. More than half a month later the bird began laying eggs and hatching but failed. Three months later, the bird continued to give birth, drawing lessons from the first hamlet, he gave chickens to hatch 60 eggs, hatched 57, grown 54 and he sold the seed.

With a price of VND 1.2 million / pair, he earned more than VND 30 million. He continued to give broiler chickens to the second batch and raised them to be 51 children ready to breed. After one year of farming, the precious bird has proved its adaptability and economic efficiency.

Mr. Minh shared: 'Pheasant is a species with good resistance, less disease, adapt well to captivity, rice, less food, easy to raise, low risk, economic efficiency. higher than other poultry ".

Each batch of pheasant spawns from 80-100 eggs, sixty-month pheasant breeds can lay eggs or sell. Adult males weigh over 2kg; The female is 1.7 - 2.0kg, the meat is more delicious than the chicken and has the healing effect, so many consumers choose.

With the selling price of 50,000 VND / fruit, and the baby bird after 2 months of hatching 600,000 VND / child, so far after nearly a year of raising with only four original breeds, Mr. Minh's family has collected over 70 million dong of sale. breeding birds and selling eggs.

Now with the increasing demand of the market, the successful farming of red pheasant has opened up the direction of economic development and new livestock diversification for the livestock industry in Ha Tinh.
