Ha Tinh: Discovered a series of ancient stone ramparts

On June 17, Ha Tinh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that Ha Tinh archaeological research group has just discovered a stone rampart in Ky Lac commune, Ky Anh district.

Accordingly, the ancient citadel was discovered by the research team located at the top of Deo Bi in Ky Lac commune, Ky Anh district. The rampart is located on the axis from West to East with a length of more than 1km and is grafted by large-sized stones of small and irregular sizes.

In the south, the vertical surface of the rampart wall is vertical (average height is 3.5m - 4m), the north side of the rampart is expanded, 5m apart, creating a square square (70cm x 70cm) piercing From the north side to the south face of the citadel, a rock layer of three levels is applied to the surface every 20 m. The surface of the rampart is quite flat, the widest place is 2m, the narrowest place is from 1.20m 1.50m.

The initial study, the ancient citadel was a remaining part of the Lam Ap ancient system (Dai Viet - Cham Pa period) stretching from West to East with a length of over 30 km because Lord Lam Ap was Pham Van (345-375) started construction to protect the border.

The flood started from the territory of the Nguu Son village of Hoang Le (now Ky Nam commune, Ky Phuong), pulling up to Xuan Quan and Xuan Son villages of Vong Lieu total (now Ky Lac commune), where the stone is grafted and covered. in land and built on Hoanh Son range. In the period of Trinh - Nguyen Phan Tranh (5th - 5 / 16-5-5 / 1659), this strong system was strengthened by Lord Trinh Toan, so the people were also called the stronghold of Mr. Ninh (Ninh Cong - Trinh Toan). .

Mr. Nguyen Tien Thieu, a cultural officer in Ky Lac commune, said that this stone complex was previously covered by forest trees. During the construction of Kim Son dam (Ky Hoa commune), people in the area had exploited the stone of the citadel to embank the dam bank and in the process of building the North-South power line, a pillar of the electric line was close to the beginning of the position Passing down so a part of the ramparts is broken.
