According to precious metal experts, with a volume of up to 61 tons of silver, the 'treasure' estimated by the Odyssey is worth more than 36 million USD.

This treasure is on a shipwreck called SS Gairsoppa . This was a British steel ship, about 125 meters long, sunk in February 1941 due to German torpedo hits. Currently, it is located at a depth of about 4.8 km under the sea, about 483km from the Irish coast.

Mr. Gordon said: "This is clearly a risky project. We invest millions of dollars before knowing that we will succeed."

According to the latest information, Odyssey said 99% of the silver on the Gairsoppa was recalled. Under a contract with the British government, the company is allowed to retain 80% of the value of treasure and silver will be transported to a safe location in the UK.

Gordon revealed that Odyssey will continue to invest in treasure hunt projects on the sea floor. As estimated by the United Nations, there are about 3,000,000 shipwrecks in the world with billions of dollars of goods lying on the seabed.

"This is our fourth or fifth success. However, this is only a temporary income due to the operational nature of the Odyssey. The company has a portfolio of projects that will continue to deliver results. like this, " said Mark Gordon.

It is known that the price of silver in the world is increasing, making the newly discovered Odyssey treasure more and more valuable.
