Super beautiful houses made from recycled materials

Infinski's sustainable housing design motto is: 'It's not because of climate change but because we never refuse food on our plate' . The company designs houses with 80% made up of recycled materials, which are non-polluting materials. Among them are old shipping containers, train tracks, used cars or used plastic bottles. Each house is designed to suit each customer, but their common characteristics are eye-catching design and very surprising price.

The most impressive thing about Infiniski is that the company designs these houses so they can be adapted to many situations, not merely a fixed design. This adaptation seems to have been made in designs like Studio H, T grid buildings and Snoozebox hotels. Depending on the project, Infiniski will use recycled steel modules, marine containers or wooden prefabricated modules. Everything is ready to fit into many types of buildings such as offices, hotels or ordinary houses.

The project in the picture above is Manifesto built in 2009 after only 90 days in Curacavi, Chile. The house area is about 160 square meters (about 1,700 feet) and is assembled from 3 old containers. The ground floor container has been split apart as a platform for the upper part to be close together. The building used efficient glass insulating panels, a floor area of about 90 square meters.

Infinski has arranged and built so that the light and ventilation parts of the house are naturally maximized. The thermal efficiency is improved when using a solar energy-adjustable shade from wood. The idea is that wooden doors will be opened in the winter, allowing solar radiation to shine directly onto the metal surface of the container, providing natural heat. In the summer these doors will be closed to prevent heat. The total cost of this project is US $ 105,000, and with the alternative energy system (heat and light), the house saves up to 70% of energy.

In 6 months of 2010, Infinski designed Casa El Tiemblo - a 190m square house in Avila, Spain. The house is made from old container, arranged in L shape, has natural heat source and is supplemented with biomass boiler. The cost of this house is $ 186,000.

Infiniski was founded by a team of entrepreneurs including architects: Jaime Gaztelu and Maurico Galeano from James & Mau, Chilean journalist Loretxu Garcia, French marketer and consultant Juliette Frey.
