Super storms reveal 120-year-old ancient wrecks in the United States

Super typhoon Michael made a series of wrecks sunk by another storm in 1899.

Super typhoon Michael recently revealed 15 ancient ships buried underground on Franklin Island in the state of Florida, USA.

Spokesman for Florida State Diplomatic Corps, Sarah Revell, said the wrecks were sunk by another storm from 1899.

The 1899 storm moved through the Florida Keys and entered the Gulf of Mexico with strong winds comparable to today's level 2 storms.

According to Florida Memory, the 1899 windstorm of more than 160km / h winds attacked the Florida Panhandle area. At that time, it caused an estimated $ 1 million loss, including nearly 60 ships stranded or completely destroyed.

That more than 100,000 households and businesses in Florida cannot use electricity for more than a week. Some roads are also landslides. Authorities said at least 36 people were confirmed dead.
