Talk about the Earth warming up

On January 24, the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) opened in Davos (Switzerland) with the participation of 2,400 delegates who are leaders of nations, entrepreneurs, active organizations society from 90 countries.

A series of hot topics have been brought to the conference table: climate change, world trade, globalization, the Middle East crisis, the fight against HIV / AIDS .

The warming of the Earth is the main topic in German Chancellor Angela Merkel's opening speech as well as 17 meetings throughout the four-day conference. The WEF also places special emphasis on securing global energy supplies, especially when oil prices fluctuate and supply fluctuations in Russia.

With 50% of the delegates being the president and chief executive of global corporations (of 70 of the world's 100 largest companies), this year's WEF conference also covered topics such as investment fund development, commodity market boom and the rise of wireless technology. On the sidelines of the conference, Trade Minister 30 economies met with the Director of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Pascal Lamy discussing the direction of restarting free trade negotiations.
