US researchers say a new breakthrough in the text field will allow treadmill runners to read words as comfortably as they normally would.

Purdue University engineers have developed a system called ReadingMate , which has a text adjustment function on the screen that is compatible with the jogging up and down of the joggers, providing a feeling of stillness even if that person are on foot.

'Not everyone can run and read at the same time' , according to CNet quoted Professor Ji Soo Yi.He said this because of the relative position of the eye changes so quickly when a person runs, making them hard to read the words on the screen.

To remove that obstacle, the researchers thought of a system that allowed people running on the machine to read normal-sized text on a small screen mounted at the front of the machine.

In the tests, the volunteers running on the camera wore glasses that contained infrared LED screens and infrared cameras that tracked the up and down movement of the head.

From these data, experts write algorithms that move text up and down , also known as text .

In addition to the treadmill application, the new system can be useful for those who have to operate heavy equipment, or fly pilots.
