Create a border (border) for the entire text file

1. - Enter Format Border and Shading .

- Or: Go to File Page Setup, select Layout tab:

Select the Border button to start creating borders for the page

2. Appear the Border and Shading dialog box, select the Page border tab:

  1. Setting: Border type:
    1. None: No borders
    2. Box: Normal contour type
    3. Shadow: Contour type with shadow
    4. 3-D: 3D contour type.
    5. Custom: Optional border type
  2. Style: Contour line style.
  3. Color: Contour color
  4. Width: Contour width. (bold, light strokes)
  5. Art: Choose a pattern of artistic patterns
  6. Apply to: Apply to:
    1. Whole document: Complete pages in a text file
    2. This section: For the current page,
    3. This section - First page only: Applies only to the first page of a text file
    4. This Section - All except First page: Applies to all pages in the text except the first page.
  7. Show Toolbar button: Display the Tables and Borders toolbar used to edit borders.

  1. The Horizontal Line button . => The Horizontal Line dialog box appears: Select the horizontal line type.

  1. Options . => Border dialog box appears and Shading Options: Change some properties about the distance from the border to the outline.

If you want to border closely the text of the file, in this Border and Shading Options dialog box, in the Measure from section choose Text .

3. Click the OK button to finish creating the outline for the paragraph.
