The 3300-year-old coffin carved his face

An ancient 3,300-year-old coffin, made of clay in the shape of a human face, was discovered in Israel.

Live Science said that the coffin is made of clay with the lid carved into a human face, inside the coffin is an adult skeleton. The skeleton was buried with a gold ring named an Egyptian pharaoh Seti I, who ruled the country from 1290-1279 BC.

According to the Israeli Antiquities Agency (IAA) research group, who was buried in a wealthy coffin in society, it could be an Egyptian army worker. This may be a mandarin originating from the Canaan region and serving the Egyptian government. Canaan is an ancient land, covering today's Lebanese, Israeli and Palestinian territories.

The coffin of human face is the tradition of the ancient Egyptians. At the time of the burial of the coffin, Seti I extended Egyptian power to Canaan territory, the traditions of ancient Egypt became popular, especially in the wealthy elite.

Next to the skeleton, archaeologists discovered a gold seal, attached to a ring. The seal bears the symbol of a cobra and the name of Seti I. It can be used to stamp on different types of documents or documents.

The excavation area is located in the Jezreel Valley, an Israeli site famous for artifacts and historical values. Here, archaeologists have discovered a cemetery dating from the pharaoh Seti I dynasty and the headless statue of Hercules.
