The 5-year-old girl has half her body growing faster than the other half

Lilli-Mai Queen, a 5-year-old girl from Lancaster, England, suffers from a rare syndrome called Beckwith Wiedemann, making her right half body grow faster than the left half.

Beckwith Wiedemann syndrome (BWS) has characteristic symptoms that the body parts grow at different speeds. Diagnosed with the disease at 11 months of age, Lilli-Mai's right leg is nearly 3cm longer than the left leg. I have bigger right arms and hands on the left and the tongue is not big on either side, according to Mirror.

Recently, Lilli-Mai is taller than her brother, although she is 13 months younger than her brother. Although Lilli-Mai often falls while playing and has to wear two different-sized shoes, doctors think she can recover when she grows up.

When the baby was born, Beckie, mother of Lilli-Mai, realized that the tongue of a girl often held out, making it difficult for her to drink milk. Beckie asked about her condition when she took her to the hospital for examination at 8 weeks of age. She was introduced to a pediatrician who correctly diagnosed her illness.

Beckie was terrified that the syndrome could increase the risk of early cancer in girls, so Lilli-Mai had to take a scan every 3 months to detect signs of cancer. The incidence of BWS syndrome is 1 / 15,000 births. However, Lilli-Mai's sisters are Ryleigh Queen, 6 years old, and Willow Queen, 3, doesn't show symptoms.

Lilli-Mai also often gets panic at night, convulsions and facial weakness. However, she still went to school in September last year."We try to treat our children normally when they come to class. She still plays sports at school, but if she is tired, she can tell the teacher and ask her to quit school. She doesn't seem to notice the apartment. It's a really strong girl, " Beckie said.
