The 30-year-old girl has a newborn baby

Although 30 years old, Maria Audete do Nascimento of Brazil looks like a 8-9 month old child.

Maria was born on May 7, 1981, but when she was 9 months old, her body stopped growing. Normally at her age, most people had their own families and children. But everything from Maria, from dressing and going out, must be helped by relatives.

This child-shaped girl suffers from a rare disease that is often called "young aging" . When suffering from this disease, the body parts do not develop even though they receive food, leading to the physique remains the same and only in the state of sustaining life.

Some Universidade university experts from Ceará (Brazil) have previously diagnosed Maria's disease due to a decrease in thyroid activity (the gland that makes hormones that control body growth and development) or gland armor disproportionate.

Maria's illness could have been cured if she had been treated right away when she was born, but her parents were unable to do so."I have never taken her to the doctor. Everything is very difficult here , " Maria's father said in an interview.

The doctors also hoped to be able to treat Maria to improve her physical condition, help her to go, and say some words.

Maria's mother died 15 years ago. Later, she was cared for by her stepmother, she took in and raised her as her daughter."I think it's a gift God gave me when I was the mother of a child like this," she said.
