The ancient city suddenly

A diver discovered the ruins of an ancient city suspected to be the lost city of Rhapta, 1,600 years ago, deep in Tanzania. The scholars believe that what they found was an ancient city suspected to be the city of Rhapta 2,000 years ago submerged under the sea.

Rhapta is the first capital of Africa and a commercial center of tortoise and metal weapons. However, after that, the stories of this city gradually diminished since it suddenly disappeared from 1,600 years ago.

This seems to be the ruins of an ancient city.

Alan Sutton, a diver who discovered the population, said that while diving under the sea, he saw a series of unusual ancient bricks. After low tide, a surprised scene appeared. Thousands of square blocks and rectangular blocks appear larger than expected. They spread over a large area. Some blocks were dumped on the ground, the rest were tilted.

According to the knowledge of Felix Chami, professor of archeology at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, these are the ruins of an old lost city, probably belonging to the Roman period that the biggest doubt belongs to Rhapta capital. The ruins seem to be very old and built quite solidly unlike the other Tanzanian architecture. Without careful study it will not be possible to say exactly what this population of ruins is. Scientists are still conducting research to clarify.

The city of Rhapta has been mentioned by a classical Egyptian writer in his "Geographic Location" dating back to the 50s AD. Since the disappearance, this city is still a puzzle for scientists.
