The device reveals student mood during class time
In the future, university teachers will have a computer tool that will reveal the student's mood during class time. This student's concentration level system is currently in beta in China National and British, allowing teachers to adjust their lectures to accommodate students' responses.
Researchers Liping Shen of Jiao Tong University (Shanghai, China) and Vic Callaghan of the University of Essex (UK) have confirmed that the new device will improve the quality of distance teaching. Chinese universities are increasingly interested in this technology for new students, especially in large cities.
A finger ring on the student's finger can measure pulse pressure, blood pressure, resistance to change in the skin depending on the degree of sweating. Then the data is transmitted wirelessly to the computer. The computer processes information collected to determine the student's concentration, stress, or sleepiness. Teachers can then decide to change their instructional speed or other modes of communication (text, voice, video).
