The father of the term 'global warming' dies

Professor Wallace Smith Broecker, Columbia University had correctly predicted the increase in carbon dioxide levels in the air, causing the Earth to warm up.

He has a lot of climate and environmental research and gives an accurate prediction of the increase in carbon dioxide content in the air, leading to a clear warming of the Earth. He also made the term " " become a popular concept after the 1975 publication.

Broecker, born in Chicago in 1931, was the first scientist to record the Ocean Conveyor Belt, a network of global ocean currents affecting everything from air temperatures to rain patterns.

His research points out, in the operation of ocean, cold and salt conveyors in the submerged North Atlantic, acting as a piston to drive a ocean current from near North America to Europe. Warm surface water due to this flow helps to keep the temperate climate of Europe.
