The first complete quantum cryptographic network formed
US scientists have just announced that they have successfully developed a quantum cryptographic data network by integrating QDE noise data encryption technology with quantum key distribution QKD (quantum key distribution).
Source: Tahionic According to researchers from Northwestern University and the BBN Institute of Technology (USA), the QDE method, also known as AlphaEta, takes advantage of quantum noise in laser light to increase the security of the system. and make it more difficult to listen to eavesdropping.
Unlike most other physical encryption methods, AlphaEta maintains the same level of performance as optical communication connectivity and is compatible with standard fiber optic networks. In addition, the security key QKD can be used in traditional encryption algorithms to create high-speed cryptographic communications.
Experts have combined QKD and QDE technology and created a 9-km interconnection network from BBN to Harvard University, in which the AlphaEta encryption signal is capable of transmitting Sonet OC-3 data (155 Mb / s between two clues.
