The first county hospital successfully treated liver tumors
Male patients born in 1958 had a malignant liver tumor that was successfully treated by doctors in Thu Duc District Hospital by TACE method.
Doctor Nguyen Minh Quan, Director of Thu Duc District Hospital said that the patient was admitted to the hospital 3 days ago with a diagnosis of malignant liver tumor in the lower lobe segment VII against cirrhosis of liver failure. After consultation, the patient was treated by the method of "arterial chemical button TACE: cutting blood vessels to nourish the tumor, injecting cancer-killing drugs to prevent tumor growth". Currently the patient's condition is stable and is expected to be discharged in the next 2 days.

According to Dr. Quan, liver cancer can be treated by methods such as partial liver resection surgery, high frequency liver burning, drug treatment and TACE arterial chemical method . Currently, the hospital has implemented all the above methods for patients. This is also the first district hospital in the country to implement liver tumor treatment with TACE technique under the support of DSA machine.
The method of arterial chemical TACE (transarterial chemoembolization) is one of the treatments for liver cancer through arterial TACE with the basic principle of terminating blood supply from arteries to tumors and bringing chemicals kill cancer on the tumor. Chemotherapy vein has been shown to be highly effective in treating primary liver cancer without surgery.
