The Ministry of Health has directed local health authorities to strengthen measures to monitor and prevent Zika virus epidemic disease in areas where patients live. Localities are also recommended to continue to implement disease prevention measures.

Vietnam has recorded 3 cases of Zika virus in Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Yen. So this German is the fourth Zika patient in Vietnam.

Zika virus is an acute infectious disease mainly transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes, in addition to being transmitted through sex, blood sugar and from mother to child.
