The greenest loudspeaker building in China

Inspired by lilies, Chinese architects designed a flower-shaped tower with a height of 140 m. This building uses natural and sustainable energy sources in architecture.

Two architects Rontmij and Soeters Van Eldonk specialize in researching the use of new energy sources. At the international design competition for the 'Wuhan New Energy Center' project, they won.

Inspired by lilies, the architects designed a flower-shaped tower with a height of 140 m, the surrounding labs as leaves.

Based entirely on nature, the building has large rainwater tanks to meet the water demand in the building. At the same time, solar panels are placed around the roof to provide energy.

The 'pistil' part is turbines powered by wind with a vertical axis to regenerate energy. The ventilation holes are optimally arranged to cool and heat the building. With a unique and beautiful architecture, the model promises to be a design standard in response to today's environmental protection call.

Below are some pictures of the work of Rontmij and Soeters Van Eldonk:

The 'leaf flower' is the surrounding labs that encompass the 'flower'. The roof has rainwater tanks and solar panels. 'Pistil' has wind turbines.

Unique, beautiful advantages, using natural and sustainable energy in architecture are 'converged' in this flower-shaped building.
