According to the announcement, after making some flights from Paris and Brussels in 2011, the Bertrand Piccard and Andre Borschberg models powered by solar powered engines will test 2,500km without stopping. to refuel.

The flight test, scheduled for May or June, is considered very important with plans to include solar powered aircraft in commercial production from 2014.
