The solar plane has returned

The solar-powered plane flew back to Rabat after successfully flying through the desert in Morocco.

On June 22nd, Captain Andre Borschberg landed Solar Impulse's solar plane in Ouarzazate, 550km from Rabat.

This is considered the shortest flight of the last solar-powered aircraft.

Solar Impulse was first introduced in June 2009, and was introduced in July 2010 as it became the first manned solar powered flight in the Swiss sky. 26 hours at an altitude of 9,235m.

After returning to Rabat, the next scheduled itinerary will be from Morocco to Switzerland and can be stopped in the Spanish capital Madrid.
