According to Pravda , last Saturday, Yefim's brother-in-law visited, but found no one to open the door. Police found him lying in bed, surrounded by painkillers. Forensic experts identified the cause of his death as exposed photodermatitis (sun-induced dermatitis).

"The day he discovered his body was a very hot day, about 36 degrees Celsius. It was very likely that he went out for a while and did not wear sunscreen, " a police officer said.

Yefim A worked at a power plant in the city of Ufa, who had been exposed to radiation many years ago. His skin was inherently sensitive to sunlight, but the contamination made this rare disease worse.
