The map can take aliens to invade Earth

The map depicting Earth's position in the galaxy placed on the Voyager spacecraft led experts to argue about the risk of encountering aliens.

According to National Geographic, two Voyager spacecraft launched by NASA in the late 1970s. These two spacecraft reach the farthest distance Earth ever.

A ship has reached the interstellar area and the submarine is in heliosheath.

The map was placed in a gold disc by NASA on two Voyager ships. If aliens are found and decoded, the map reveals the location of the Solar System and the Earth in the galaxy.

'We wanted to put something into Voyager to save where it left off and how far it went , ' said Frank Drake, the creator of the map.

What Voyager carried away in the quest for aliens was unlike any other human map ever made. It is like a form of code in the hope that extraterrestrial intelligence can understand and decipher.

The map revealed Earth's position

The question is, how can I create a map that aliens can understand? Determining the position in space is not easy, because there is no concept of east, west, south, or north.

Sketching near-Earth stars is also meaningless if the map is found after billions of years. When so many things changed, the stars may have died and exploded long ago.

For Frank Drake, he came up with a way to create pulsar stars , or cosmic lighthouses.

The Voyager 2 spacecraft was launched into orbit on August 20, 1977.

When stars more massive than the Sun reach the end of their cycle, they create a large explosion, leaving strong, existent beams of millions and billions of years known as pulsars.

Each pulsar is special, not the same and easily recognizable. Pulsars can weaken after a long time but alien intelligence can be calculated to know how long the pulsar has been and the time the map was made.

If aliens know what pulsars are, they will know where the planets die. Summarizing the information, they can find their way to the Solar System.

Drake discussed with astronomer Sagan and both made the final decision. He drew a map with 14 pulsar rays. These rays are gathered in the Sun, the most important place astronomers want aliens to know.

Successfully deciphering the map means identifying the position of the Sun and the time when the spacecraft is launched.

Danger signs?

When launching the Voyager, astronomers were unaware of the existence of planets other than the System
Sun. Today, NASA has helped people know that there are countless planets that exist in the galaxy, and many planets are about the same size as the Earth.

Voyager 2 visual sketches undergo a long endless journey in the universe.

That's when scientists fear the possibility of finding aliens, whether they are friendly with people or not.

'Previously, we were all optimistic, thinking that aliens would be friendly,' Drake said. 'Nobody thinks about the possibility of sending a map out of space is dangerous'.

However, Drake said the ability for aliens to find the map is quite low.'The spacecraft moves at 10km / sec while it takes half a million years from one planet to another.'

If the extraterrestrial civilization has a strong radar, they will catch a signal from Voyager. But perhaps that possibility is very low, Drake said.

Sounds, images and maps depicting Earth's position will probably be silently taken away by Voyager in the universe until the ship stops working completely.

One thing is the fact that people have been proving existence in the universe in many different ways. So maybe aliens will come to Earth in a different way, not from the Voyager map.
