The meteorite is equivalent to 5000 tons of explosives falling into Puerto Rico
Astronomers this week confirmed a 3-meter meteorite that fell south of Puerto Rico on June 22, creating considerable damage.
According to Sputnik, meteorites fell on Earth at 5: 25 minutes (local time) in Puerto Rico, creating a power equivalent to 5,000 tons of TNT.
Although meteors created great destructive power, but fortunately there was no human damage
Meteors always have the potential to destroy the Earth .
Astronomer Peter Brown said the observatory in Bermuda recorded sound waves emitted when meteorites plunged into the atmosphere. Meteors were also discovered by the warning system in Hawaii.
This is the fourth time people have discovered meteors since it plunged to Earth until it exploded.'For the first time with meteorite 2008 TC3, the second time meteorite is 2014 AA, the third time is 2018 LA, happened on 2/6/2018' , Guido said.
According to American astronomers, such small meteorites that crash into the Earth often occur 'once every two years'. They usually do not cause casualties but if exploded in a densely populated area, disaster will be incalculable.
The US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has listed a number of meteorites capable of threatening the Earth, but small meteorites just a few meters long above are not mentioned.
NASA also plans to change the trajectory, or destroy the meteorite that can destroy the Earth in the future.
