The moment a mysterious fireball lit up the Chinese sky

A mysterious fireball lit up the Chinese sky before shattering and disappearing, leaving many witnesses extremely surprised.

According to The Sun, a video recently recorded by people in Beijing, China, shows a strange object falling from the night sky, then breaking into smaller pieces as it nears the ground and disappears. This object burned so brightly that it quickly turned the night sky here into daytime when it appeared.

What's more special is that people also saw a similar fireball appear in the sky that night in Gansu province, nearly 1,000 miles from Beijing. The meteor-like object appeared to travel all the way from Gansu to the capital Beijing before breaking up and disappearing into the night sky.

This event has attracted the attention of many social network users, with many different opinions and inferences. One person said: "It's not a meteor, it's space junk."

Another person shared: "That day I was eating barbecue outdoors and was lucky enough to see it. However, I didn't have time to come back." Meanwhile, someone asked the question: 'Is it a meteorite falling?'.

Just a few days ago, a similar fireball was discovered falling in California, USA. It worried many people in Southern California who didn't know what they were witnessing, sparking UFO conspiracy theories.

However, experts believe that this bright object could be a piece of a fallen spacecraft.

According to the American Meteor Society (AMS), a total of 81 people reported seeing the event.
