The monstrous syndrome makes a man dare not to climax when having sex

A man extremely frightened every time 'climaxed' by the bizarre illness that he suffered for a long time.

This particular case was recorded by Men Health Boston in Massachusetts, USA in Urology Case Reports: A 25-year-old unnamed man in Massachusetts was very upset when he 'got to the top'. The reason is that after each ejaculation, young men will fall into a state of fatigue, lethargy, muscle weakness.

Because of that, the young man could not go to work or school and keep away from people. This has hindered the relationship of young men, he must abstain from masturbation and try not to 'climax' during sex. In addition, he only allowed himself to ' peak' after 8-12 weeks to avoid constant fatigue.

The young man also went to the doctor and was prescribed antidepressant and anti-anxiety medication by the doctor. He even sought treatment by changing his diet, taking supplements, and antihistamines, but to no avail.

Finally, because he could not stand this problem, the young man went to the Men Health clinic. According to patients, he started having this problem at the age of 16 after he entered puberty.

After examination, the urologist discovered a patient with low testosterone levels . 'The patient's body is very slow in replenishing sex hormones after each ejaculation,' the doctor revealed.

The man was eventually diagnosed with orgasmic postpartum syndrome (POIS). Symptoms of the disease can last up to two weeks and may attack immediately or be delayed for two to three days.

Thankfully, this case can be cured. Doctors have injected the hormone HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), which increases testosterone levels to treat the distressed guy. HCG is sometimes called the "pregnancy hormone" because of its important role in maintaining pregnancy. But in men, injecting this hormone can stimulate the testes to produce more testosterone.

The young man's problem was later improved and completely cured after 6 weeks. Men can ejaculate more often and no longer get tired, anxious, brain fog or upset later.

Blood tests showed that the patient's total testosterone level also increased. Six months later, the man was happy to announce that he could now 'take care of himself', although there were still a few symptoms but they soon resolved after 12 hours.

What is POIS?

POIS - orgasmic syndrome after orgasm , is a rare disorder that occurs most often in men after ejaculation. The symptoms of the syndrome include severe fatigue, stuffy nose, hot eyes, difficulty concentrating, irritability, depressed mood and flu-like symptoms.

Symptoms can last from one day to two weeks. POIS often causes men to abstain from "self-dealing" or having sex. Or if having sex, patients often try to avoid ejaculation.

The incidence of POIS is unknown and difficult to determine, as it is likely that many individuals are affected but do not seek medical attention. Most doctors are unaware of the syndrome and often result in referral to mental health professionals.

This condition was first reported in 2002 but since then, about 50 cases have been examined in which men experience a range of flu-like symptoms and allergies after ejaculation.

There is no consensus on the underlying cause as well as the optimal POIS treatment - but it is thought that it may be because men are allergic to their own semen.

Doctors have so far been unable to identify any absolute cures for POIS. Treatment recommendations have included antihistamines, benzodiazepines, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and stimulants.
