A total of 14 new cuts were captured by NASA's Moon LRO (US Aerospace Agency). According to researcher Thomas R. Watters - working at the Planet and Earth Research Center (USA), it is likely that these cuts appear when the Moon inside is cold and shrinks for billions of years. .

In Science, Watters and colleagues said that by studying the size of these cuts, they estimated that the size of the Moon has now shrunk to about 100 meters, which is quite small and cannot be observed with the naked eye.

The moon is smaller than Earth, with a diameter of only half that of Earth. According to Watters, it will not disappear and its contraction will not affect the Earth.
