The moon will have its own LTE mobile station by the end of 2018

As efforts to reach the Moon become more feasible, scientists are considering bringing LTE coverage stations to the Moon by the end of 2018.

The emergence of LTE stations on the Moon will allow exploration robots to communicate with the Earth faster and more cost-effectively.

The entire project process will take place next year when SpaceX's Falcon 9 boosters are launched into the Moon. Part Time Scientists, a start-up in Germany has signed a contract with SpaceX to send a trawler named Alina to the Moon.

This spacecraft will land on the Moon at the same time as two exploration robots Audi Lunar Quatro. They will then move to the location set in the Apollo 17 mission.

Scientists believe that the application of LTE stations, a technology that is quite popular under the Earth, will create the basis for many other technologies to be used in space in the future. According to the affirmation from Space.com, Part Time Scientists, it has signed a cooperation with Vodafone in providing LTE stations on the Moon.

Alina will act as a front-end base station, which receives communications from two exploration robots, then transmits data to Earth.

While there are still many doubts about the ability to maintain on the Moon but this start-up predicts, they will get many things from this LTE station before continuing to study the ability to permanently maintain these stations on the surface of Moon.
